40 MIC Transparent Blown PVC Shrink Film For Shrink Sleeve Label
Shrink Wrap, also known as shrink film is a material made up of polymer plastic film. When heat is applied, it shrinks firmly over whatever it is covering. Heat can be applied with a handheld electric or gas heat gun, or the product and the film can be made to pass through a heat tunnel on the conveyor.

6. Drawbacks
Sealing strength, storage issues and sealing by-products are the common pitfalls of PVC shrink wrap. The plasticizer present in PVC shrink wrap gets hardened in cold conditions and softened under hot conditions hence compromising the strength of seal and the plastic. PVC shrink wrap also releases small amounts of hydrogen chloride into the air and carbon deposits onto the sealer. Proper ventilation is required while sealing PVC shrink wrap.
